About:
I grew up in Hanover county, after college I moved to the fan and have been in the Richmond area since. Fun Fact-we sold our first house to St. Christopher's, which is now one of the JK houses. We recently moved to a house on campus and love how close it is to the school.
My daughter's hobbies/interests:
With three girls in three different divisions, the interests vary. Our oldest daughter is navigating through athletics and is very involved in service clubs. She is also a student ambassador. Our fourthie is a dancer, in choir, and plays the violin. Our JK girl is just trying to keep up but seems to love art and the playgrounds the most for now.
Things we enjoy doing as a family:
As a family we enjoy exploring Virginia and all it has to offer. We love to travel and take as many trips as our schedules will allow. Our happy place is Virginia Beach and we spend as much time there as we can.
Favorite St. Catherine's tradition or memory:
The admissions Daisy Drive Through.
Why we chose St. Catherine's:
Our two older children started in public school. When our oldest daughter was in third grade, we begin to feel like she could benefit from a smaller school that was more focused on the individual child. We looked at several schools and began applying in fifth grade and ultimately chose St. Catherine's because of the way we felt when we were on campus. It very much felt like a family, everyone made such an effort to learn about our daughter and focus on what was important to her. We also really came to love the all-girl aspect. When applying for 6th grade for our oldest, we also applied for K for our youngest at the same time. The girls started during covid. During Covid I really came to love St. Catherine's and their efforts to keep the girls in school. This was also the time we decided to apply for our son. He started at St. Christopher's in eighth grade. Our now youngest daughter just started in JK. We are loving having all four Saints and being part of this wonderful community.
