Ampersand presents "The Sound of Music" in front of sold-out audiences

The Ampersand production of "The Sound of Music" sold out all four shows in Endeavour Hall at St. Catherine's.
Ampersand completed a very successful run of "The Sound of Music" with four sold-out shows over the weekend with the largest cast in the 57-year history of the program. The four performances took place over four days in Endeavour Hall at St. Catherine's. 

The show featured 53 cast and crew from St. Catherine's and St. Christopher's as well as 22 students and faculty in the nun choir. Thirty musicians from the Richmond Philharmonic accompanied the show.  

St. Catherine's senior Elizabeth Kaufman performed in the lead role of Maria. St. Christopher's senior Ben Butterfield was in the role of Captain von Trapp. The von Trapp children were performed by a mixed cast of St. Catherine's and St. Christopher's students including two Middle School girls: freshman Berkeley MacFarlane, junior Thomas Murcko, junior Grace Johnson, freshman Fraser Griffith, sophomore Sophie Lipscomb, sixth grader Anne Berkley Hark and sixth grader Mallory Stark. 

St. Catherine's junior Miller Ambrogi was the Production Manager for the show and senior Addison Goad was the Stage Manager. Senior Anne Hubard was the Company Manager while also performing in the role of Sister Margaretta. The show was directed by Paul Takacs. See the full show program.
