St. Catherine’s School seeks a committed, enthusiastic, and innovative teacher and coach to begin work for the 2024-2025 school term. This position will generally teach three Middle or Lower School classes per day, totaling 24 classes in an 8-day rotation, and coach a minimum of one athletic season as agreed upon between the Athletic Director and candidate.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach Physical Education, creating a positive classroom environment in which all students feel known and valued
Collaborate with colleagues teaching same-level courses and divisional and departmental colleagues
Partner with the academic classroom teachers and participate in team meetings
Collaborate with colleagues to design meaningful learning experiences for girls
Plan and prepare lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning
Deliver individual, whole-group, and small-group instruction as appropriate
Foster communication and a respectful partnership with parents/guardians in conferences, during phone calls, and through written correspondence
Attend faculty meetings, chapels, and other divisional and departmental meetings as appropriate
Find joy in working with students and the wider School community both in teaching, coaching, and taking part in the broader life of the School
Actively participate in the School community via special events, professional learning days, and the normal calendar of School events, including some nights and weekends
Uphold the high standards of the School’s established program
QUALIFICATIONS AND KEY SKILLS

Assist the Head Athletic Trainer with all facets of the daily operations of the Athletic Training Room & Sports Medicine Program, including coverage for middle and upper school teams in 14 sports throughout the school year for approximately 40 hours per week. Responsible for all aspects of health care for student-athletes including, injury prevention, recognition, treatment, evaluation, referral of injuries, rehabilitation, return to play evaluation, education, injury counseling, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with Head Athletic Trainer about practice/game coverage, athletic injuries, parent communications, and general athletic training room needs
Offer on site medical coverage for all practices/games/camps including late night events and some weekends
Travel as needed to off site events
Administering and monitoring of Return to Learn and Return to Play protocols for athletes with concussions. Includes administration and interpretation of computerized concussion testing.
Liaison between parents, students, administration, coaches and faculty as needed
Prevention, recognition, management, evaluation, and treatment of athletic injuries
Offer injury evaluation/treatment/rehabilitation hours during athletic program hours
Maintain accurate records of injuries, treatments for sports injuries, and injuries treated by a physician
Collaborate with League, VISAA, and other local Athletic Trainers in regards to injuries sustained by visiting athletes, and home athletes participating at away events.

Skills
BOC Certified
Licensed (or eligible) to practice Athletic Training in the state of Virginia
Current First Aid/CPR Certification
Excellent oral and written communication skills with other members of the school community, other healthcare professionals, adolescents and parents/guardians.
Proficiency in basic data management systems and basic computer applications (e.g., google applications); willingness and ability to learn additional applications as needed
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with appropriate discretion
POSITION OVERVIEW St. Catherine's School is accepting applications for School Bus Drivers. Applicants with Class A or Class B CDL, with Passenger and Air Brake endorsements with a minimum of three years' driving experience are preferred. Responsibilities include driving students along daily shuttle route and day trips. Maintaining assigned bus in a safe, clean, professional manner is a must. Employment is subject to successful background check and physical evaluation.
Requirements
Core responsibilities of the Bus Driver include:
Pre-trip the vehicle properly.
Have bus fueled and ready to go 15 minutes prior to departure time
Properly fill out time sheet and mileage reports after each drive
Have reputable driving background
Must possess a Class B CDL with Passenger “P” and “Air Brake” Endorsements.
Must not have an air brakes restriction
Note: Drivers must be able to work various shifts per week.
The Substitute Teacher is an educational professional who replaces regular teachers for a short period of time (e.g. a week, or month) or longer in certain cases. The Substitute Teacher will ensure the lesson plan is followed and the classroom is managed according to the standards of the division and school. The Substitute Teacher should seek to establish and maintain positive relationships with parents and other faculty/staff members; seek to collaborate effectively with other faculty/staff members; and endeavor to support the school’s mission and core values. She or he will help to run classes smoothly and promote an effective learning environment. St. Catherine’s maintains a list of approved substitutes in each division. Pay: The rate of payment for substitute teaching is $120 per day for a full day and $80 for a half day.
